Property owners receiving notice of defective sidewalk panel(s) are required by Davenport City Code 12.12 to correct the defect.
Information regarding your options to remedy the situation were provided in the notice received. This Waiver and Agreement is the instrument property owners must use to identify how they will address their hazardous sidewalk issue.
Having received a notice that additional defective sidewalk panel(s) were identified at your location, but not included in the estimate you received, you have the option to enroll in the 50/50 cost-share program for the sidewalk panel(s) subject of complaint or identified as highly hazardous, or to enroll in the program for all defective sidewalk panel(s) found at the location, or to make the repairs yourself.
Complete and submit the form below to let us know how you would like to proceed. Those participating in the cost share program will be invoiced for 50% of the cost of repairs once repair/reconstruction is complete. Property owners may pay the bill within 30 days or have the cost assessed to the property, allowing property owners to spread the cost over time.
Sidewalks that remain unrepaired may be repaired by the city, with 50% of the costs being invoiced to the property owner.
If you have questions about the information you received or this Waiver and Agreement, call us at 563.326.7923 during business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, or email us at sidewalk@davenportiowa.com.
